WFV, Golden Acre Park, 6.10.26

As suspected, the MYFG did have an event on Sat Oct 3rd, hence the discarded remains of a number of fungi.

Species seen = Sulphur Tuft, False Chanterelles (I called them Deceivers at the time!) Fly Agaric, Brown Rollrims, Shaggy Scalycap, False Artist’s Bracket, Blusher, Larch Bolete, Black-foot Polypore, Hairy curtain Crust, Common Puffballs, Common Inkcap, Pleated Inkcap, Clustered Bonnets (on a log), Common Stump Brittlestems.

Adel Dam = Turkeytail, Blushing Brackets, Birch Polypore, Hoof Fungus, Willow Bracket, Deer Shield, Dead Person’s Fingers, Hen of the Woods, Penny Bun, Common Cavalier (Melanoleuca polioleuca) – probably.

Six attendees shared 3 cars. Day began well weatherwise but deteriorated after noon. By that time we were close to the cafe, where some of us had lunch.
