Bradford 25 “The Biscuit Selection” with Bradford BEES and Bradford Apple Group

Food-as-art pioneers Edible Archives are turning Bradford stories into a series of biscuits inspired by different Bradford communities and cultures, including growing groups.

Bradford BEES and Bradford Apple Group help manage the orchard within Bowling Community Orchard where they host an annual celebration of all things apple and fruit growing each October.

Members were interviewed about the benefits of the orchard, cultivation, community celebrations and green spaces during Apple Day 2024. A variety of apples from the orchard were harvested and dehydrated by volunteers to be turned into apple biscuits that would be included in the limited-edition collectable biscuits tins that will be the culmination of the art/food project.

Tins should be available to buy from late Spring 2025 to link up with Bradford 25 City of Culture. They will form part of a bespoke zine and audio experience featuring interviews and articles from Bradford District.
