Bradford Environmental Education Service (BEES) is the environmental department at the City of Bradford YMCA. We offer a broad range of environmental education opportunities to young people, individuals and community groups, as well as schools and businesses. We aim to enable and inspire people to make positive contributions to their local environment, develop various skills and explore the natural environment.

As a follow up to its Community Space Challenge (CSC) programme, BEES has launched its latest project - Shaping Spaces. This new project offers a positive, new service for young people and the Bradford communities. The project currently works in two main, environmental and community focussed areas.
The first part of Shaping Spaces involves securing and delivering professional land management services in order to make improvements to green spaces throughout the city. The second is a youth programme, focusing on working with young people, initially aged between 14 and 25, who are currently NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) and have interest in working outside, doing horticultural and landscaping work.
