Keyworker - Children, Young People and Families 

Bradford East Locality £18,805 - £20,030 FTE

30 Hours per week - additional casual hours may be available

We are looking to appoint a dynamic individual to join our Children and Young People’s team to deliver one2one key work and small group work as part of an Intensive Youth Support/Families First Programme.

The target group will include those in need of targeted early help intervention including those engaged in, or at risk of engaging in, antisocial behaviour, children and young people who are not attending school regularly or are disruptive in school, children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Keyworkers will use a ‘Think Family Model’ including undertaking Signs of Safety assessments and planning. The post holder will have an understanding of the challenges faced by children, young people and families and be able to deliver support and interventions to address these. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and able to manage a case load of approx. 8-10 young people aged 8-13. Successful candidates must have experience of working in a multiagency setting including working in partnership with schools, voluntary and statutory services.

Youth Workers (Emotional Health and Well-being)

Youth Work Lead (Emotional Health & Well-being) 20 hours per week FTE £20,030 - £21,000

Youth Worker (Emotional Health and Well-being) 16 hours per week FTE £18,800

We are looking to appoint two dynamic worker to help develop our existing youth provision to support young people aged 16-25 with their emotional health and well-being.  Building on our existing Shaping Spaces programme and extensive BEES environmental experience the project will pilot ‘ecotherapy’ approaches to improving health and well-being and reducing social isolation and loneliness.

Job Purpose (both roles)

To work as part of a team to design and deliver a programme of activities to support young people aged 16-25 to achieve the following:

  • Reduce social isolation by buildingconnections/friendships/peer support through activities in outdoor spaces
  • Improving young people’s connectionto/belonging to their communities through accessing green community spaces
  • Addressing loneliness/social isolation and breaking down barriers for entry into employment/education/training

Lead Worker additional responsibilities

  • Supervision of staff and volunteers
  • Monitoring and evaluation in line with grant agreements
