Y:Zone Lead Project Worker, 30-37.5 hours per week FTE £19,832 (pro rata)
Y:Zone Project Worker, 16 hours per week FTE £17,842 (pro rata)
Y:Zone is a new 3 year project funded through BBC Children in Need to support young people aged 6-13 from disadvantaged backgrounds who are going through a family change such as a parental separation or bereavement and may suffer further disadvantage as a result. The project will run three nights per week (after-school) delivering issue based group work incorporating play/fun activities delivered in a variety of settings accessible to children and young people. In addition the project will fund a weekly youth club session at YMCA Culture Fusion and holiday activities.
Youth Worker (Achieve) £9.55 - £10.17ph 30 hours per week
The Achieve programme supports young people aged 11-19 who are at risk of underachieving in education. Delivered informally in education and youth work settings, Achieve provides young people with the space and attention they need to learn skills, develop confidence, raise aspirations and improve their attitude to learning.
Each Achieve club will comprise of approx. 10 young people working at Entry Level 3, Level 1 or Level 2 and will be delivered during school time Monday - Friday. This vacancy is advertised as term time however there may be opportunity to work on other YMCA projects throughout the school holidays for applicants seeking additional hours.
Y:PALZ+ Project Worker £9.55ph 16-30 hours per week
Play and Learn Zone Plus is an Early Help referral provision providing mentoring support and developmental activities for vulnerable children and young people aged 8-13.
You will need to hold a current driving licence and have access to your own vehicle.
The project runs after-school and early evenings
Youth Environmental Worker £9.15 - £9.55ph 16 hours per week
Shaping Spaces is a youth support programme that is delivered through Environmental /outdoor land based activities. Young people participating on the programme will participate in outdoor, land based, projects and have the opportunity to achieve a L1 in Horticulture through Shipley College.
Deliver a programme of youth support for NEET young people aged 16-25 using Environmental activities as an engagement tool.
The project runs on a Wednesday and Thursday daytime
